#1243: Poi issues on new plone.org
------------------+--------------------------------------------------------- Reporter: limi | Owner: [hidden email] Type: bug | Status: new Priority: minor | Component: website Keywords: | ------------------+--------------------------------------------------------- Got these from Mauris van der Rees, posting them here so they are available in a public location. Didn't post the screenshots, as they are the same on all platforms in Firefox. ________________________________ Hi Alexander, Tested on Ubuntu 8.10, Firefox 3.0.7 == User name split over two lines == <maurits> I've got an old screen here, and Firefox on Linux which apparently has its own ideas of how big/small to render a font, but this is what I get: <maurits> http://maurits.vanrees.org/new-plone-maurits.png <maurits> notice that it goes a bit wrong near the top * limi looks <limi> ah, the navigation wrapping? <maurits> yes <limi> ok <limi> probably a template issue combined with my theme being a bit brittle in that area right now <maurits> When I decrease the font-size with ctrl-minus it looks fine. <limi> ok, cool <limi> as long as the page validates, I can fix it ;) <limi> you're also a great test candidate, since your name is a long one ;) <maurits> and it has two spaces, so lots of opportunities to wrap. :) <limi> exactly :) == Missing navigation == <maurits> Here's a nice one. Without looking at the url, how can I know which issue tracker I am looking at here? http://new.plone.org/products/fckeditor/issues/43 <limi> yup, agreed <limi> it needs to have the Resources portlet at the very least <maurits> Could be fixable in Poi of course, but I kinda expect there to be some sort of navigation. <limi> absolutely == Up arrow == <limi> any idea why there is an "up" arrow at the top without any text on it? <limi> ah, I see it <limi> there's a "Return to tracker" <limi> but it's at the bottom of the listing <maurits> either that or 'return to search results' <limi> good one, add it to the email ;) <maurits> the listing is a table, which is on the right normally. <limi> (I batch these things up) <limi> right <limi> probably just a missing CSS class == Edit and delete buttons look alike == <maurits> In plone.org there is a difference between the edit and delete buttons a Manager has on a response, due to the 'destructive' class on the delete button. Not so on new.plone.org <limi> good point == Creating/editing an issue gives a server error == <maurits> I get a '500 Internal Server Error' when creating a new issue, like http://new.plone.org/products/poi/issues/portal_factory/PoiIssue/poiissue.2009-03-09.7102371542/edit <maurits> that's a few times in a row <maurits> plone.org works <limi> right, that's the kind of stuff I'm looking for, it usually means that the markup is bad <limi> make sure you include that one in the email :) Editing a response or a tracker works fine. == RichText fields can be better == (When editing a tracker) I miss a border around the buttons in a rich text edit field. == AddRemoveWidget button can be better == (When editing a tracker) The 'Add new row' button looks out of tune with most of the other buttons in new.plone.org == Search results can be better == "Return to search" and "5 items matching your criteria" are on the same line and quite close together. The old plone.org has them on two lines. One line is fine too if there is a bit more horizontal space between those two strings. -- Ticket URL: <https://dev.plone.org/plone.org/ticket/1243> Plone.org <http://plone.org> Plone.org services maintenance ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Apps built with the Adobe(R) Flex(R) framework and Flex Builder(TM) are powering Web 2.0 with engaging, cross-platform capabilities. --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- Reporter: limi | Owner: [hidden email] Type: bug | Status: new Priority: minor | Component: website Resolution: | Keywords: --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- Changes (by maurits): * cc: maurits (added) Comment: If any fixes are needed in Poi for this, feel free to do so on trunk or request my assistance. The default Poi css could use some love too: the last change was in April 2006... -- Ticket URL: <https://dev.plone.org/plone.org/ticket/1243#comment:2> Plone.org <http://plone.org> Plone.org services maintenance ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Apps built with the Adobe(R) Flex(R) framework and Flex Builder(TM) are powering Web 2.0 with engaging, cross-platform capabilities. --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- Reporter: limi | Owner: [hidden email] Type: bug | Status: new Priority: minor | Component: website Resolution: | Keywords: --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- Comment (by maurits): Creating an issue now works again, thanks! An extra bug that surfaced because of that: the metadata form is not hidden behind a tab, but displayed below the normal edit form. Hm, this only occurs when you are '''not''' logged in: for logged in users the metadata tab acts normally. -- Ticket URL: <https://dev.plone.org/plone.org/ticket/1243#comment:4> Plone.org <http://plone.org> Plone.org services maintenance ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by: High Quality Requirements in a Collaborative Environment.
