Howdy,

I recently burdened this list with hand-wringing regarding
upgrading a site from 2.5.1 to 3.2

After much reading, studying Zope versions, install methods,
asking what I should expect, blah blah, I followed the advice
"drop your old Data.fs into the new instance and see"

I did this, and a single click of "upgrade" on the portal_migration
page did all the work required. Correctly.

Wow.

There is a lot of information on upgrading, you might consider
starting the upgrade instructions with a notice that version migration
has been given a high priority in Plone design, and there's a (good?)
chance the portal_migration tool will do all the work for you.

Thanks,
Kent

Thanks, Kent - this is great feedback!  (Sometimes we forget to tough our strengths, eh?)

I'm glad to hear that the migration scripts worked for you and that our attention in this area has paid off!
