I'm using PG 2.5.1 and I realized that links and images URLs inserted in the
body via kupu are broken.

In order to what is stated into the "newsletter_mua_formatter.pt" links to
images or files must be absolute but they are always translated into
relative ones by kupu.
I tried also FCK Editor and the result is the same.
So I have to edit the source code with kupu disabled to make them absolute.

"naro", the official mantainer of PG, just knew the issue (
http://plone.org/products/plonegazette/issues/33 ) but he has no time at the
moment to fix it. The problem seems to be the lack of base tag.

I'd like to know if anybody has just fixed the issue or found a work around
to this very annoying problem.

Thanks a lot,
 Enzo

Have you tried link to attachments?

In old version of PloneGazette we have nl with link to published
attachment file on the portal (so the used can download it). But every
time the link was always wrong...

Thanks Luca, no I didn't try with attachment files but I need to re-use the
existent images.

In theory the base tag field in the edit form should be that one where to
indicate the absolute URL.

Anyway thanks,
Enzo

I've seen *ralphjacobs* just fixed the issue in the trunk of PG.

I'd like to know if this fix could be back ported into the 2.5 branch.
Thanks a lot,
 Enzo

There's a 2.5 branch in the collective repository... We can hope that
this will be fixed here also.

Hi,

it is fixed in 2.5 and trunk now. I will try to release new versions
tomorrow, because I'm on vacation next week.
