Hi everyone,

As you probably know, the submission of session proposals for
PloneConf 2007 is due on Monday. Paul Henning Krogh <[hidden email]> and
me would like to organize a panel session (45 min) about Plone in
science (similar to last year's session led by Roché Compaan). If
anyone of you is willing to contribute please reply until Monday, 23
July, 7pm GMT/UTC at the latest (including a short summary/draft of
your planned contribution).

For your orientation: "A panel is aimed to be a bunch of quick talks
with different speakers all related to each other on the same subject."

Here are some hints/directions for topics/areas:

- Provide a possibility to exchange experiences with Plone in
research environments (e.g. use cases, etc.)
- Discuss various requirements for Plone in research environments:
what's available, which extensions or modifications do we need?
- Coordinate actions around Plone products for scientific use (e.g.
development, testing, etc.)
- Promote the use of Plone in scientific environments
- Exploring ways to minimize the gap between a collaborative research
process model and the actual Plone implementation of that model

We know we are pretty late with this call, however, we hope that we
can set up a panel again this year!

Best,
Marcin

I know it is past your Monday, July 23 deadline, but I am very interested in talking with others about the use of Plone in a scientific context.  I have set up Plone for internal and external use at groups in NOAA and NASA in the United States and have submitted a proposal to talk about my experiences.

If the organizers decide to extend the deadline I would be more than willing to participate in a panel.

Hi all,

If anyone would be willing to contribute to our panel for the Naples
conference, please contact me soon. It would be nice to have another
panelist in our round. Here you can find some details:

a-new-dawn-for-e-collaboration-in-science

Currently, we are three people. It would be nice to have somebody
covering the following topics:

- Coordinate actions around Plone products for scientific use
- Promote the use of Plone in scientific environments

(but everything else is also welcome).

Best regards,
Marcin
