Hi developers,
I have started using Musescore to test writing some scores.
I'm rather pleased to discover that writing lead sheets is rather easy,
although some things could be improved (e.g. using a chord table instead
of manually typing each chord and adapting the fonts) but that's not a
problem.
1. I have, however, a problem. I'm accustomed to give directions at the
end of the lead sheet (e.g. intro bass only, sax, first solo, etc.) but
Musescore doesn't give me the possibility to do so. I.m missing in the
table (opened after : Create -> Text -> ) something like "free text".
Here the text must be anchored to a random position on the page, chosen
with the mouse or to a measure but principally random on the page.
2. I would also like to know how difficult it is to implement a "scroll
mode" besides the current "page mode" for display of the score on the
screen for multi-instrument scores. I don't know of course if it is
possible without making the score completely garbled when switching
between scroll and page mode.
3. A little bug in the plugins: when trying the plugin "color notes" it
can't be undone (with CTRL/Z).
I'm very pleased with Musescore and start to gradually 'unaccustom'
myself from the M$ application.
