1. Everyone who voted for Barack Obama. Because I lost track of how long ago it was that I lost count of the number of times I've been genuinely grateful that Barack Obama would be the person shaping America's response to this or that.
2. Arianna Huffington, Jon Stewart, the kids at Think Progress and Josh Marshall. For play-by-play more entertaining than the game.
3. Days. For being so persuasive and relentless in agitating that the moon landing was a hoax that NASA is compelled to perpetuate said conspiracy to this very day with a never-ending stream of new faked evidence (read:
cool stuff).
4. Barack Obama. For patiently waiting at the tee with driver in hand while conservatives, their monkeys and their special interests putt-putt their way down the healthcare reform fairway.
5. The guy responsible for
this.
6. Schad and ghost. Without them, this post wouldn't exist.
7. The likes of Urq to Dallas. For refusing to go away (read: for not letting rational, reasoned, reality based conservatives wrestle control of the Republican Party away from the racists, zealots, demagogues and nutcases).
8. George W. Bush. For being such a universally bad president that simply bringing up his example renders all criticisms of Obama (even the
feeble ones) instantly feckless.
