Basically Mr Murrey blames the teachers and educrats for misleading the poor politicians into the OBE fiasco of the last ten years.  He seems to see value in sacking administrators of schools that fail to 'perform' in league tables and punishing the schools by closing them.  The whole article was full of half truths and exonerated the politicians from any blame for the mess that is public education in W.A.

Paul Murray starts off his article as an admirer of MacTiernan's approach to politics and by the end of the article it is another cheap teacher bash. Murray's weak attack is based on our acceptance or otherwise of league tables and community service. As always he offers no solutions just typical teacher bashing statements which do nothing for our profession. These kind of articles are disgusting. We of course are used to media and government abuse so we should just disregard yet another high placed clown who knows nothing REAL about teaching.
