Has anyone heard of PNMP? I have been trying to keep an eye on tracks in eastern Oregon and thought they were both the same..

Ever since Lemans left Portland I have been looking forward to a new venue..

If you understand the concept of 'vapor ware' then you will understand PNMP.

Keep and eye on developments here at ORP. We have pavement on the ground and are looking forward to our first season this summer.

I drive by the location for PNWMP (Tower Rd exit near Boardman, Oregon) fairly regularly and still do not see any significant progress on construction.  At least as of February 2009.

hmm.. ive never heard of "PNMP". is this another road course in the makings? we'd be spoiled here in oregon if that were to happen.

Yues, PNMP is being advertised as a separate facility close to Boardman, Oregon.  (Tower Rd exit off of I-84 E).

This track has been in development for years but nothing has ever happened with it. I do know that they had made promises to bring the Nextel Cup here but then were shot down by the series itself. They wanted no part of this project. I dont believe the track will ever be built. Its just a lot of show with no go.

What I don't get about this PNMP concept is that when you go to their website (http://www.pnwmotorsportspark.com/), it's full of photos of cars on the track, and advertised with all the fanfare of an ongoing concern.  But it's not?  There is no track?  Then where are the photos from?

Looks like they use stock photography from other tracks.

Just so you know......the folks at PNWP have been very dilegent in the past year and a half......the financing was all but done in September '08 then the economy went bust.  There will be a track....people behind the scenes are very close to a deal.  The "other track" in grass valley does have pavement but from what I hear it's no more than a large go-cart track....not friendly to high horspower racecars....they could not get sanctioned for any racing this year......PNWP is not in competition with that facility.....PNWP will be a world class regional international raceway/country club.....
