Hey Doc team-

Since it's a holiday weekend here in the states, I plan to spend at
least part of it banging on our new version of PHC.

Steve M- Could you make sure you email me the link to the test site?
And make sure it's up and running. :)  If it's not, I'll ping Kevin.

I'd like to test this thing and we do have real data in it, so if
anyone wants to help, we can discuss how to tag and migrate docs, how
to organize the knowledge base, and in general, solidify our plans to
get everything moved.
We've been a bit slow on progress lately so we need to pick up the
pace and get this stuff moving. We're almost there and we're just on
the tip of making a huge, visible, and significant change that will
impact the community and make a lot of people very very happy. So
let's do it already!

If you have time in the next 4 days, reply to the list and we'll
figure out a time when the majority of us can meet in #plone-docs.

Cheers!
JoAnna

We need to come up with a series of test cases to know what to test and
do it efficiently. Something like:

- Create a knowledgebase.
- Assign sections to a knowledgebase, create articles belonging to these
sections and verify these articles show up.
- Move an article from the Help Center (official docs) to the Knowledgebase.
- Verify any user can edit an article in the Knowledgebase, without
having to change its workflow state.
- etc.

JoAnna? Steve?

Is the code installable locally? I could help by creating some
zc.testbrowser based functional doctests for the above.

I'll start a page on the wiki for some use cases.

Ok add test cases here:
http://www.coactivate.org/projects/plone-documentation/phc-test-cases

I'm playing with the different workflows between the core docs and
knowledge base at the moment. The site is pretty slow but I'm plugging
along.

I'm testing the creation of docs inside the Help Center and the KB.
Please join me in #plone-docs! I'm usually chatty on Sundays. :)

Is the "docsprint" user a privileged one? Could we create an user with
editor role and another normal unprivileged one?

That would be great! This is https://svn.plone.org/svn/collect/Products.PloneHelpCenter/trunk

Note that there's a migration step if you're converting an existing PHC.

It looks to me like performance on the current test virtual machine is below what we need for serious interaction testing.

At one point, I think 6FU had said they could bring up a machine for testing, or give us access for this purpose to an existing one. JoAnna, can you check that out?

I'm leaving today on a vacation involving lots of car travel. I expect to be keeping up on e-mail, but will be largely absent from IRC. If my help is needed getting a Plone/PHC instance live, we'll probably need to schedule that for one of the days when I'll have a bit more laptop time.

Just a quick update to let everyone know...

We are going to get a new test instance up and running and should have
access this weekend. More news once I have info on how to access it,
etc.

I've performed some tests locally using PHC trunk and updated
http://www.coactivate.org/projects/plone-documentation/phc-test-cases

Btw, bin/instance test -s Products.PloneHelpCenter is failing.
Traceback: http://pastie.org/538779

If you need more details or want me to test further anything, please ask!
