Okay you work for seven hours and you get sick, break down, something happen to one of your kids. You call your RCA in and tell him that you need him to come in and finish your route. Do you think it pays the RCA to come in and carry your route for an hour?
Yes I know that we RCA should be happy for any time we get to work, and I am. But it not worth the maintenance and the gas cost to come in and carry your route. Now I would be willing to say that day should be split between you and the RCA that came in and finish the route. That way you would get half a day pay and so would the RCA that showed up.
I would also like to point this out. A lot of RCA do work other jobs beside the postal service. And I do whenever call show up and report to work for the postal service. But if you switch to a system where a RCA is going to get 8 hours on another job and you call in with only an hour worth of work. Which do you think I or any other RCA are going to pick here? Even at let say eight dollar min an hour, an eight hour day would be sixty-four dollar compare to $18. Sorry for not having the correct hourly pay as the only thing I check to see the numbers of days are correct on my stub before I toss them.
