Overwriting existing geocode data

I had a spreadsheet of locales in the northeast that had incorect zip data so I deleted it from google docs and mapalist. I then uploaded a new spreadsheet to google and tried to map it and when I hit next to load geocode data there was no load lag (it said that it had "total success"). When i pulled up the map it had the old data - it had not loaded from the new spreadsheet. My guess is that the cached files on your end need to be wiped out (i have done so on  my end). Is there something else that I am missing?
