OSGeo BC - Call for Action and Participation

Greetings all,

 

We are looking to hast an OSGeo BC Chapter meeting in the last week of June. 

 

The proposed agenda is as follows:

 

Welcome and greetings - 5 mins

Technical Presentations - 60-80 mins - Time and topics for you to volunteer

Chapter Business - 20 mins

Group  Hug - 5 mins

 

The proposed date for this event would be June 28 (just before the long weekend)  tentative time 2-4pm at Sierra Systems office in Vancouver

 

We have one volunteer for a presentation; however, at least three technical presentations are desired. 

 

Can you please raise your hand if

1) you can present a topic related to our group - 15 - 20 mins

2) you are interested and able in attending the meeting (either in person in Vancouver downtown) or via conference call or webex.

3) if you have a preferred date June 26-28  and time (morning or afternoon

 

Please respond by this Sunday, June 15 (Happy Father's Day to all you dads) so that we can make the required preparations.

 

Sorry for the late notice; many of you have been working on fascinating stuff and will hopefully have material that you can present to the group.  If you have any comments or questions please let me know.  This will get posted to the wiki site soon as well.  If you know folks that might be interested but are not on our mailing list, please pass this invitation along or let me know how many folks may be attending with you so that we have room for all.

Hi all,
At the moment it looks like I won't be able to make it to Vancouver  
during any of these dates.  It might also be worth trying to have  
something tied to the Geoweb event the week of July 21st?

That's a good idea as others may be attending or may be more flexible

Are any other Island or non-lower mainland folks coming over during that
week?

Hi all,
