OKL4 License Issue

Hi,

Someone help me, please.

I wonder that OZPLB(Australian Public Licence B) has merchantability? Such as BSD License?

I saw Iguana-devel-1.1 used OZPLB in NICTA official webpage.

I want to use this solution for commercial product.

But I don’t want to open source code and to pay license fee. Is it possible??

Can I use this solution for commercial product?

Best Regards

Wonsuk Ko

Wonsuk Ko,

Thank you for your question. We appreciate your interest in OK Labs and OKL4.

Yes, OK Labs offers a dual license model for OKL4.You can find a variety of information about our licensing model on our Wiki:

 http://wiki.ok-labs.com/FAQ#IsOKL4analternativetoothercommerciallyprovidedandopensourceoperatingsystemsavailableforuseinembeddedsystemsdevelopment.3F

If you are interested in some specific terms of the license information can be found here:

Please let me know if there are other questions that I can help address.

Cheers,

The OZPLB would allow you to do that. In fact, the OZPLB should be
indistinguishable from a straight BSD licence outside Australia (but
this is my non-lawyer view, don't take it for granted).

However, I don't think you'll find that old NICTA release suitable for
commercial deployment: it's very dated and totally unsupported. OKL4
is the industrial-strength code base.
