As list administrator, I just wanted to clarify some of the discussions on
the list lately, for people who haven't been following all of the traffic.
It's true that everything posted to this email list is available for anyone
to read on the internet. It can be seen on both our Google Groups website
and the CSS website, on the "forum" page.

This has been a public forum since the beginning of the CSS list. We
discussed whether to do this at more than one public meeting, and the
consensus was that CSS should be an open forum, where anyone can view and
anyone can post. There was a demonstration of how this worked online at a
CSS meeting as well.
In retrospect, I should have sent out an announcement to this effect when
new people joined, but I'm a volunteer, and I just didn't think of it. I
apologize.
