Not able to export shape to bmp

[Rahul... हम पंछी उन्मुक्त गगन के]

When a shape file is exported using Map to Image option, the output raster file is not valid for bmp output formats. Three file are created .bmp, .prj and .wld, but the bmp file has not got any image. bmp image is of size 0kb.
