Hi,

Firstly let me apologize for dropping the ball on the assessments. I
spoke with JoAnna and I'm going to give this one more try.

I'm allocating an hour a day (maybe 2) just for Plone docs and not sure
where to start.

I'll poke around the Open Plans site but if someone wants to send a long
at step 1, step 2, step 3 I'd appreciate it. I'm way behind on email for
this group but I'll dig through it if need be.

Donna

Hi Donna,

Just fyi, the theming stuff is under control, so you'll probably want to
focus on the Managing Content category. I'm sure Joanna can give you some
direction here in terms of where the assessment is at and what our current
directives are.

We're gearing up for the migration to the new "way forward" -- quick starts
+ manuals for each section, and the biggest priority right now is to
identify which docs will be released into the wild for community to maintain
and which docs will be included in a manual.

Cheers,

- Veda

Hi,

Thank You Veda :-)

Actually right now I'm listed under the Permissions & Workflows but I'm
more than willing to handle Managing Content if that is where I'm needed.

I just need to dig in and get started or it'll get put on the back
burner behind everything else!

I also had committed to finishing the TTW theming guide back in
November, is this still going to get included? If so I can get that done
by the weekend after next.

Oops, sorry, I thought you were Managing Content. Joanna can tell you where
you're most needed, I suspect.

As for the TTW theming guide, if you can write it, Anne and I would be happy
to include it. Just keep us posted.

Thanks!

- Veda

Assessments should all be finished. Like Veda said, biggest thing
right now is sorting out the wild docs from the docs that will go into
manuals. And then deciding what will go into each manuals.
Donna is assigned to the security related stuff so if you can tackle
that, Donna, that would be great.

I'm in the process of moving to Indy this week so I'm afraid I'm not
able to provide much guidance unless you catch me online in the
evening. If you can catch Israel online, he'd be able to get you
going, I'm sure of it.
Israel, would you mind guiding Donna through the process of figuring
out manuals, etc, while I'm MIA for a few more days?
There is a Plone Tune Up day on Friday so this might be a good time to
get caught up.

J.

Hi Donna, behind the scenes I've been experimenting with incorporating
some of the current tutorials into the theme reference manual in the
form of short practicals. It would be great to have TTW theming guides
as well.

Gustavo Orrillo (gustavo.orrillo at inter-cultura.com) is our current editor for the Managing Content and Navigation section. IIRC, he's currently working on the official/knoweldgebase documentation separation and on the PLIPs documentation.

The manual/kb column for the Users, Authentication and Permissions assessment chart is almost empty, so it's the first thing I would work on.

Please feel completely free to ask me or anybody else if you need more details. Welcome back to work! :-)

I have missed every Tune-UP day so far but I'll put this on my calendar
and make sure I'm there. It'll give me a chance to ask questions as we
are making adjustments.

Thank You!
