Hiya,
I havent been around because I've had a nasty flare triggered by the physio assessment. But I had the results of my MRI scan - and 2 of my vertebra are twisted, and I have over-growths of bone, which are compressing my nerve. That is why I cant move my leg, and why I have such severe pain, and why my leg goes numb when I walk, and why I am having problems with my bladder. The spinal problem is making my FM worse and the FM is exaccerbating the spinal problem by the sound of things. Phew !!
So in one way, its a good thing, but the only way to resolve the problem and so I dont go on to develop other problems like incontinence and deep vein thrombosis is to have surgery

But the physiotherapist wont even do any physio because it might make it worse. i am not to bend, and she's looking into getting me a wheelchair because I am rapidly becoming housebound. I can still drive, just not go anywhere once I get there.

.
But - due to a not too good experience with another painkiller last week, both the GP and the pain clinic doc have agreed that tramadol is as strong as I can tolerate, but I tell you, when its like it has been this last couple of weeks, tramadol is like taking fresh air. I have a tens machine now tho, which helps a teeny bit, but more as a distraction, I think, than actual relief.
So, not too good news to start the new forum with, but at least I know now what's been causing these additional problems and I can

to that stupid neurologist
