Hello,

JoAnna suggested I write and introduce myself.  I'm a librarian, an ex-English major (POEM certified...) and sometime webmaster.  I've built several Plone sites as demos, served from my home computer, and am managing a contractor in the development of a site for the non-profit arts organization  (swing dancing)  I work with.

Mainly, I'm a general editor, the kind of person who gets a little buzz upon being asked to re-read Strunk & White.  But I did take Joel Burton's 'Bootcamp' last summer and aspire to learn enough Python, METAL and/or CSS to have increasing creative control over whatever sites I'm working with.

I really adimire the open-source culture, specifically Plone and would like to make a contribution.  I don't know what needs doing, so I'll ask for your collective guidance on that.

Best,
Tom Clark

Editors-
If you need documents reviewed for consistency as we combine things
into manuals, I suspect Tom will be an excellent candidate for that
task. Being that he's a librarian, I expect he and Darci to have
endless conversations on organization, filing, and come up with some
sort of complex numerical categorization system. ;)

Israel, Kamon, Veda, and Anne- since you're all knee deep in merging
manuals, I'd suggest you take advantage of Tom's skills and time.

Hello Tom, and welcome on board!

The first task I got in my list is testing all the documentation we extended or added to document the 3.3 PLIPs. What I mean by testing is installing 3.3beta and checking everything works as documented, spotting the features that need further explanation.

This page will help you to get started: http://plone.org/news/help-test-plone-3.3
And there is the list of related tickets: http://is.gd/o6cT

Please ask for permissions where necessary.

If you prefer, you could also check the new Archetypes Developer Manual to ensure clarity, consistency, etc.

Thanks for contributing!
