Hi,

I just made a small bug fix for Products.DataGridField:
http://dev.plone.org/archetypes/changeset/11458

When there is an empty row with the template_row_marker and validation
fails (for any field), make sure we do not end up with *two* empty
rows. (And a restructured text fix so the pypi page renders nicely.)

Done first on 1.7 branch, then merged to 1.6 and trunk.

I am not sure how stable the changes in the 1.7 branch are, but a
1.6.1 release would be nice. pypi owners of that package are
smcmahon, optilude, andrewburkhalter and vincentfretin. Can one of
you make a new release? Or bless my with pypi rights (username
maurits). Someone else may have to update the plone.org page though.

A client would like this, and as maintainer of Poi I would like this
too. :)

Hi Maurit,

I am not sure how stable the changes in the 1.7 branch are, but a
1.6.1 release would be nice. pypi owners of that package are
smcmahon, optilude, andrewburkhalter and vincentfretin. Can one of
you make a new release? Or bless my with pypi rights (username
maurits). Someone else may have to update the plone.org page though.

I added Plone product center sharing for you on DGF.

Don't know anything about PyPi page,though.

I got access from Vincent Fretin, thanks. I released 1.6.1

Right before releasing I noticed some areas for improvement in
history, readme, version numbers. I'll push those changes into branch
1.7 and trunk too.

I remembered to remove the setup.cfg in the tag. Does anyone mind if
I completely remove the setup.cfg from the branches and trunk?

Feel free to remove it, so you can use the fullrelease command fully. ;-)

Ah, you know my weaknesses. :-) Done.

BTW, there are plans to put hooks in zest.releaser so you can write an
extra step that for example removes setup.cfg from the tag before
doing a release to pypi, so that could help fans of setup.cfg.

In August Vincent fixed trunk to work on Plone 4.

During the Plone conference sprint last weekend I fixed the tests on
Plone 4 mostly by simply doing some cleanup and pep8/pyflakes work.

I have now added 'Plone>=4.0dev' to the install_requires.

If no-one objects I will release trunk as version 1.8 this weekend.

BTW, there is also branch 1.7 (Plone 3 only) which has not seen any
releases yet, so it might be weird to release 1.6.1 and then 1.8, but
there is currently no difference between that branch and branch 1.6
(except that branch 1.6 claims to support Plone 2.5 plus 3.0).

In slightly related news, I released Products.AddRemoveWidget 1.4.2
today, which is compatible with Plone 3 and 4.

1.7 was the previous trunk when I branched it. Does somebody use this
branch? Maybe we can remove it?

I took a look at the issue tracker on plone.org at
http://plone.org/products/datagridfield/issues and fixed a few bugs
and postponed or rejected a few others.

I released 1.8a1. Like I said, Plone 4 only.

I thought we were using that in a buildout for a client but I cannot
find that. It's probably best to keep it; I hate getting checkout
errors when someone has moved or removed a branch or even a tag from
subversion.

I added a WARNING.txt on branch 1.7 basically advising to use either
branch 1.6 or trunk.
