I have some questions regarding the new pot file available for translation:

Are there any deadline for this new po file?
When will be available a 'pre-beta' version of Audacity to let us check
out the new strings?

Not yet. It's simply been updated because someone complained it was out
of date compared to the CVS code, so it was synced up.

Rather depends on fixing some unrelated issues with audio device
support.

There are usually windows snapshot builds at
http://www.gaclrecords.org.uk/audacity-latest-cvs.zip
http://mjshaw.at-uclan.com/audacity.zip

although neither is automated, so can't be guaranteed to be up to date.
