New Symbols, X7602, X7601, U760, U7603, U7601

Hi all,

Finally, I have some time now to join your project.

I better start from the bottom of the TODO list then Álvaro is quite
fast creating new symbols and we don't want to do everything twice ;-) .

So here are my first contribution for review:

X7602 (CC7V-T1A) - Crystal GPS 32.768kHz

something easy to get used to Kicad.

X7601 (IT3205BE) - TCXO 23.104 MHz DRAFT!!!!

I could not find any datasheet to this particular oscillator so i used
the symbol from the gta02 schematic. It seems that Rakon redesigned
their website recently and deleted all specs for the older models. I
think the closest one is the IT3200C series. However, I'm still
wondering if the pad design of the B series is similar to the C, E and M
models (6pins 2 or 3 NC, depending on package).

U7602 (R3113D241A) - Low Voltage Detector

I have some doubts with the name of pin 2. The datasheet says VDD,
however in the gta02 schematics it is named IN. I would go for IN then
this is a voltage detector and pin2 will be the input where it detects
the threshold voltage.
What do you think, any ideas?

U7603 (B7840) - Low loss RF filter for GPS receivers

I'm not quite sure what fits best to the type of the pins so i left them
passive. We might need to change them later on.

U7601 (ATR0610-PQQW) - GPS Low Noise Amplifier
So that's the last one for today.

BTW: I added some resources to the INFO file (see attachment)

Well, if we do put IN as "Input", then OUT should be "Output". This output is uses as a digital reset, so this should be better.

Welcome ! I've been trying to do the review today, but too many
other things got in the way, sorry. Just one quick comment:

The idea here is that we keep the symbols and their name generic,
so it should be "vibrator". The logic in this database (INFO) is
admittedly a bit contorted, because a data sheet is often more
specific. I'll have to think a bit more about how to structure it
more cleanly.

Okay, good to know. I tried to figure out what these tags mean and in
the end i properly was misled by the header where is says P=part number.

Okay, both ways make kind of sens to me but your are right to go with
the specs i probably the right way.

It's not :-( The 3205BE comes in a 3.3 x 2.74 mm package, at least
that's what the drawing at the end of the data sheet says. The front
page has 3.2 x 2.5 mm. The footprints changes accordingly.

A quick search didn't turn up any publicly accessible 3205BE data
sheet either.

Besides the usual Power In vs. Out on GNS, the symbol is fine.
I've added it.

I think DC_GND sounds odd and does not make any sens to me. GND always
refers, if not otherwise specified (DGND, AGND etc.) to the supply
ground which is in this case DC. So I thought i reduce the redundant
information.

Alas, something that's already a stock part, i.e., it's in KiCad's
device.lib

One of the few wheels we don't need to re-invent ;)

For other directional filters, we just used Input and Output, so I
changed it accordingly. I also make GND Power In.

I also find the DC_GND rather unusual. However, we try to stay close
to what the data sheet calls things and try to avoid exceptions. Cases
where there are exceptions are (I'm reiterating this for the benfit of
any newcomers):

- inverted pins or functions. There, all the different types of markup
just become an "n" prefix.

- if the data sheet is wrong or seriously misleading

- if the data sheet is inconsistent

I think it's better to be conservative with exceptions, or we'll find
ourselves with the task of doing an overall taxonomy and nomenclature
of signal names on our hands before too long. Let's not go there ;-)

DC_GND doesn't have any of the problems above, so I'd just let Atmel
have their little quirk.
