Hey guys,
Over the past two months, I've been trying to organize a speaker's panel on alternative (read: not web design) careers in New Media Art. It's come down close to the date I've scheduled, and despite several speakers who ended up being unavailable, all signs are go for launch.
I've got a HR representative from Ubisoft who is going to be talking about all the lesser known aspects of video game creation (sound design, script writting, etc), and part-time faculty members Valerie LaMontange and Vincent Leclerc who are going to be speaking about artist centers and physical media respectively. Rounding out the group will be me talking about my experiences in the co-op program in CART, and on web design in general.
It's going to be on Monday, at 4:30 in EV. 1.613, (next to 1.615). I apologize for the late notice, as I have been scrambling to finalize speakers and trying to decide weather to still host the event with less speakers that I had previously hoped for. As a result, the promotion of the event was not quite as good as it should have been.
I'm asking all of you to try to promote this event, maybe make some announcements in class, etc. I'm also looking for one person who is inspired to go to FFAR 250 on Friday 1:45 to give an announcement about the event there. Posters will be going up all over EV tonight.
Anyone interested in helping me out?
