I setup my postfix mail server and plone 2.5.5 and I have an SMTP user name and password. Time has passed, and as I am discovering, so has my memory. I recently setup another plone instance on the same server, but I cannot remember the SMTP password for the mail settings. Is there anyway to get the password out of the first plone site?

Very Embarrassed at My Receding Memory (and hairline....),

P.S. I have the password in a MySQL table (I have users, domains, and aliases in MySQL tables), but that password is hashed with MD5, so I can't recover it. Argh.....an none of the passwords on my yellow sticky notes work! ;-)

Since you set up the postfix server yourself, why don't you reset the
smtp user's password and reconfigure both plone sites to use the new
password? Or even create a new SMTP auth account for both?

Go to the ZMI of the old site and visit the MailHost object.  I see
that the password is actually visible in the html code... :)
