Navigation Portlet

I'm attempting to set up an equivilant of Hot Links on a page using a folder of links and a Navigation Portlet.

This is what I tried:

  • Created folder with links
  • Clicked "Manage Portlets"
  • Selected "Naviagtion" from the "Add portlet..." drop down menu
  • Entered a title
  • Searched for the folder
  • Selected and updated selection
  • Then saved

The navigation portlet did display at the level it was created but will display from with in the hot links folder.  I want back to "Edit Navigation Portlet"  and tried all combinations but the navigation will still not display in the root folder.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Phil

Hi, Phil

Those kind of portlets that you want to manage are context dependent.
So you have to assign your portlet (click "Manage portlets") while being
in the root folder. And it will be acquired by inner content too.
