The website uses the word "Handbook" while the MuseScore Help menu uses
the word "Manual".

I think it would be better to use the same word in both places.
Otherwise users may think of them as different things. At least one user
was confused by the different names. The person had already found the
Handbook but wanted access to the Manual (not realizing that they were
the same thing):

"Problem locating Manual in Help to solve several entry and printing
problems"

Any thoughts on which word to use?

Manual has technical connotations to do with self-help (note, for
example, the "man" system in Unix systems). However, these are
probably too technical to be known by most users, and in most cases, I
feel "Handbook" to be more appropriate. Though it has more obvious use
in the real world, where a book and hands can exist physically, the
tactile connotations, along with the common use of the word (at least
in my locality), make it seem like a more approachable choice.
