National Rural Letter Carriers' Association: "Oppose S. 1507!
In response to the anti-arbitrator amendment offered by Sen. Coburn (R-OK) and adopted by the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, the NRLCA is mobilizing its members to write and call their Senators to urge them to OPPOSE S. 1507!
Sample letters are being provided by the National Office to use as a guideline in writing your own letter, with personal experiences and stories about the impact this would have on you as a Rural Carrier. We are suggesting these letters be sent to Home District Offices, to avoid the month delay for mail to Capitol Hill (as a result of the anthrax attacks). To find your Senators' District Office address, either contact your State President or use the 'Useful Links' menu to the left to 'Contact Your Legislator'.
To ensure your letter will be most effective:
* Correctly address the letter to the appropriate district office.
* Sign name and give your home address.
* Forward to your other Rural Carrier friends.
* OPPOSE S. 1507!
