Since many people are asking for more streamlined integration of NLog with VS 2008 and 2010 Beta, I've decided to release an updated installer for NLog 1.0 which will add integration with those two environments.
A pre-release is available for testing here:
(this uses the same version number as 1.0 release so it should be usable as a a drop-in replacement).
I tested this on VS2008 SP1 and VS2010 Beta1 VSTS, but other editions (including Express) should be supported as well. Please let me know if you encounter any problems with that.
I've also checked in a bunch of build changes which should enable anyone to recompile NLog 1.0 more easily. At this point the only dependencies needed to build an installer are NSIS and NAnt (just do "nant installer")
- Fixed compilation on non-elevated Vista and Win7 by adding 'asInvoker' manifest
- Locked the version number to be 1.0.0.505 (the release is binary-compatible with 1.0 release).
- Checked in NDoc 1.3.1 with updated NDocConsole.exe.config to run on CLR 2.0) into NLog sources
- Modified installer script to skip missing build configurations
No C# source code changes have been made.
After 1.0 Refresh I'm planning to make a small update release (1.1) with critical bugfixes only.
