My hot swollen feet

Hi All.
My feet are so swollen, hot and painful. Even on a high dose of steroids. Just had a cool shower as I am so hot. Not used to that I have always felt the cold and have a quilt on my bed most of the year, but only a thin cover for the past 4 weeks. I have spots on my face, feel like a teenager again. My brain is going 100 miles an hour and I get about 4.5 hours sleep on average at the moment. Hopefully that will improve when I am down on a lower dose of steroids, but I know my body will slow down again when they are lowered.

Dr thinks it's rheumatiod arthritis. Things worse today 6 joints hot and swollen, going for a steroid injection at 5pm tonight to try to help calm things down. Still waiting for it to be confirmed.

Ali. It sounds a bit like symptoms of menopause, I have had to go to the Dr's today I have this horrid infection in my feet, he gave me antibiotics, I think something has bitten me I'm going to a wedding on Saturday I hope Im going to be able to wear nice shoes, I hope things get a bit better Ali The weather isn't too hot down here does that help?

Hi Wendy.Blood tests are showing too much protein. I'm on nearly maximum steroids and my feet are still swollen. Good news though, I have a hospital appointment(Rheum) for 3 weeks time. Hope you got your shoes on for the wedding.

I did get my shoes on, at least for the church, I had to come home to change them before the reception they didn't look too bad, we had such a lovely day that always makes me feel a bit better, but bang back down to earth and am i suffering BIG TIME, my knees are soooooo swollen and the hurt something awful.

Talking about shoes.... when i got married 2 years ago I wore a pair of lovely dark red heels, as the theme was dark red for the bridesmaids. Then for the reception I wore white trainers under my dress. No one notice until I put my feet up and someone got a picture lol But I was comfy!!

I'm going to be there late or not at all!! My cousin is coming to stay for a couple of days as well as one of my brothers and not sure if they're both going to Bath on wednesday or not? I have a hair appointment at 0945 before the meeting so may just pop in while they look round Portishead!! I've got more than two things to get valued - can I go round twice?

And if you can catch me you can squash me but you may not like the screaming!!

My fat feet are littler fat feet today. (Cheers JOO) Have had a fat face though due to the steroids.  
My brain is still shot away. Well nothing different there. Ha ha

Dancing Queen sounds good Joo. I am sat with a wet wipe trying to cool myself down. Can't believe how hot I feel. My feet are hot and throbbing and so are my hands. Dave has never known me so hot as I am usually cold. My face is puffy as well. We clean our living room and changed it around today, how much dust.!!!

Hi everyone
I saw a Rheumatoligist this week and found out about my painful hot fat feet. I have Psoriatic Arthritis in my feet and hands. I had to have x-rays blood tests and I have to see him again in 6 weeks. I started on a medication but can I only take it once a week. It could take 3 months for the medication to kick in.Then I have to have blood tests every 2 weeks to see how things are going. Also he said about having physio on my feet and hands.He was also interested to know how long I have had Fibro and it's effect on me. At least I know now and I can look a head and hope that treatment will be good for me.
