As you may know I'm second generation and I so want this association to succeed but we both know that we have been sold out for so long that it's a mindset. We can change this but we need to weed out the ideas of the old and introduce those of the new. We are in a 21st century workplace working under 20th century mindsets. How do we create a more informed and active membership at the National Conventions to make that leap into the 21st century? Because this is not my daddys PO anymore.

Jason, I think it is obvious we need a better National web-site and net-working system. I always come to this web-site before the Unions, as this one is more informative and easier to use. I say PT for National web-mistress.

I agree...you get elected...take care of that wont you...we have heard they pay someone a salary to maintain that union website...a rather large salary...and that is JUST SAD!!! RURALINFO blows theirs away!
If they are paying someone...then WE are paying someone...and I for one get pissed off every time i think about that...pt does hers for free...and there is 3 times the information available...fast as a politician at a potluck dinner!!!

I think we need change...not just in the officers...but in the politics..and the whole system in general. Our whole way of thinking and doing things needs to change...perhaps if people can ACTUALLY SEE change...their mindsets will change and the APATHY will leave our craft...the website would be a GREAT place to start!
To err is human...to blame it on someone else shows management potential!
