Motion: Grant Paul Ramsey commit access on the MetaCRS Subversion repository

--

Folks,

Paul has recently been involved in upgrading the EPSG dataset used by
libgeotiff, proj.4, gdal and by virtue of his close involvement in
MapServer, PostGIS and related projects has an interest in a strong
set of coordinate system software.

Paul is also a well known and respected software developer, with commit
priveledges on projects such as GEOS, MapServer and PostGIS.  I would am
confident that he would be an asset to MetaCRS - particularly the PROJ.4
and libgeotiff subprojects.

+1 from me.

best regards,

Would this include commit access to all MetaCRS projects including CsMap?
Thanks

Hugues

Hugues,

Currently all MetaCRS committers have commit access to all MetaCRS
subprojects that exist in our joint subversion repository.  This could
be changed, but I think it is also understood that committers should
limit themselves to projects for which they have discussed things with
the subproject lead.  At some point we should formalize this at bit.

Best regards,

Norm Olsen might not be able to vote before July 6th. I'm not sure he's access to his emails until then

Hello All . . .

I don't know Paul, so based on Frank's input, I'll vote 1.

Norm
