That's really horrible.

I just finished a book called "Life List" which is the story of a woman birder, Phoebe Snetsinger.  She died in Madagascar, on a birding tour, and there was quite a bit in there about the dangers of tourism and how sparse the groups have gotten.  Also quite a bit about the decreasing numbers of birds.  

Really, really sad stuff.
