Hello,

When going to set up Marshall to use the ATXML Marshaller, the ATXML Marshaller is not in the component name dropdown (saw someone else had the problem a while back, but found no solution.

I'm running a Plone 3 with Archetypes 1.5.5, Marshall 1.0.

One question I have is: should the Archetypes product show up in the quickinstaller?  My quickinstaller shows no Archetypes product, but the product is in Zope/products.

Thanks for the help,
Bruce Deutsch

Hi Bruce,

Do you have libxml2 python bindings installed in your system? This library with
python bindings are required if you want to use Simple and ATXml Marshall
predicates. If you don't have one then you should see 'libxml2-python not
available.' message in your logs while starting zope.

Cheers,

ATXML has a dependency on libxml2 which is not part of
the default distribution (and can be a pain to install
depending on your platform).

Maybe that's what you are missing?

Check your Zope log on start up: ATXML usually puts a
message in there if it's not available for that reason.
