Hello Marketcetera fans,

We've had a busy few months, and I wanted to send an email out to announce that we've just released the 0.9.0 version of the Marketcetera Platform.
We have simultaneously upgraded our documentation system - we moved to a set of tools from Atlassian - which we hope will greatly improve our communication ability with our user community.

By now, all of you on the lists should have received a set of login credentials to Confluence, or documentation site at http://www.marketcetera.org.
You will now be able to login and see documentation, and download the latest software from there.

0.9.0 is our last release before the 1.0 comes out, and it lays out most of the groundwork for the final release.
Here are the major highlights
  • Documentation upgrade
  • Support for OpenTick and Activ market data adapters (contact us directly for betas of that)
  • Improved client authentication
  • List view search and filter – added ability to filter/search FIX views in Photon
  • Desktop notification – added the ability to enable sound and visual notifications
  • Upgraded Photon environment to use Eclipse 3.4
  • New Ruby/scripting IDE and ability to build Photon directly from Eclipse
You can find more information on our blog at http://blog.marketcetera.com/2008/11/20/continuous-innovation/

You can download the new platform from http://www.marketcetera.org/confluence/display/MPIO/Software+Downloads

As always, I welcome any comments or feedback, and I'm looking forward to the 1.0 release towards the end of the year.
