Mapbuilder/Openlayers and Firefox 3

Does MapBuilder/Openlayers work fully with Firefox 3? I saw on the main site that it does, but I seem to run into a lot of problems that I don't hit with FF2. One of the error is this:

Permission denied to get property Element.tagName

} else if(oDoc.documentElement.tagName == "parsererror"){

Sarissa.js (line 477)

config is undefined

config.parseConfig(config);

I see this even when I simply try to load the most basic example served from tomcat. Most of the RC2 stuff seems to load fine from disk, just not served from tomcat.

I also get the same error when I got to the example from RC1 on the website with FF3:

http://demo.communitymapbuilder.org/demo/mapbuilder-lib-1.5-rc1/examples/simple/index.html
So it seems like something when served from a server updates Firefox 3... Any ideas?

You have to disable Firebug to run Mapbuilder in FF3. We don't have a
workaround for that at the moment, but you can track the issue at
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MAP-548.

It's weird, because I found that issue previously and tried that, but it stills that the page didn't load. I'll try again though, maybe I had done something else wrong then, or thought it was disabled. Thanks.

There was a second issue with FF3, as you can see in the ticket
history, but that one is already fixed on trunk.

The Firebug issue got its own ticket now:

This is a known problem and it is related to Firebug. MB works with FF3
only, when firebug is disabled. I have read in their tracking system,
this bug should be resolved with version 1.3.
