Our site had numerous custom translations and out of ignorance, a long
time ago, I added these strings to PloneTranslations/i18n/plone-
<lanaguage>.po

I am finding this difficult to maintain, especially within the context of
buildout.

Can anyone suggest a best practice, so that custom translations can more
easily be maintained?

Thanks.

Hi,

Maurits van Rees sent a message[1] to the list a little while back
explaining how to deal with just this issue.

That would be a solution, but if I am reading the script right, it would still not
truly separate the Plone core .po files (which can change and be updated
subtly between versions I think) from any custom translations in a particular
language track(s). Any other more portable ideas, that would truely leave
the core alone yet allow seperate customized language strings?

Thanks.
