Probably me but I can not get the excel to work....do we input everything?  Last years was super!  You just plugged your info in and it gave you the results.....these do not work that way?  Tried plugging in last years numbers but it doesn't give the correct answer......

You fill route info on first 4241 careful that Yes or No start with a capital letter.
Enter count numbers on 4241s not eval sheet.
Couple things you will have to adjust since this year's calculates differently ( if trying out last year's numbers).
First, subtract 1 minute a day ( for Scanners) from your "r " time before inputting. (Last year it was inputted in column R,this year it is auto entered on Evaluation sheet.

Second, you will enter last year's COAs under column 12 PARs labels not column 11.

Last, If you don't want to enter all 12 days from last year. Just enter the entire count totals in day 1.
remember to subtract the scanner time ( would be 12 minutes) , change COAs to PARS.
The evaluation auto calculates based on letters for each day,so you need to then enter 1 letter for the other 11 days ( to be accurate you would subtract 11 letters from the total you entered on day 1 )

Matt, make sure when you save it that you save it somewhere you will remember.  I always make sure mine are saved to my desktop first and then I put them where I want them later.  Try downloading it again, and pay close attention to where it is saving the file...

I know this may sound like a stupid question.  After I enter the weeks numbers for the count, how do I view the results to see the standard hours I have so far?  I would be using the Microsoft Excel counter.

Look at the bottom of the spreadsheet, there are tabs. Click on the tab that says Evaluation. You might have to scroll down a little. use the tabs to switch back and forth.
The calculator will auto adjust the evaluation based on the number of days that have data entered .
If you just want to input weekly totals ( instead of every day) ,I could remove the auto calculate feature for you.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong with this calculator. I entered some bogus numbers to test it out and when I go to the evaluation section it just has the calculation formula codes and not the number totals. Please advise.

The calculator is set up to auto calculate. So if you entered bogus info for 1 day make sure you have letters entered for that day. If you have 2 days of bogus, make sure you have 2 days of letters entered. It will not calculate with no letters entered or miscalculate if you don't have letters for everyday that has other entries.

Ok, I'm still having problems. I am using Lotus Symphony to open the file with because it wouldn't open with Excel. I can't seem to get the numbers to add. In the sum section it is still showing me the calculation equation and not the sum. Also at the bottom of my form where your screen shot is showing "4241weeks 1&2" mine says "a" I have no clue what I've done wrong. Thanks

Are you opening the file from the website or did you download?
Are you entering data in the cells above the "total" cell?

Try the Open Office Versions. If I read correctly, they are compatable with symphony.

Yes, I did download it. I entered the numbers in the numbers in the cells above the total.s as well. The version I downloaded is the Office one. I also tried the Excel one as well. What are you using to open it with? Correct me if I'm wrong, the program is suppose to calculate the number right? I don't need to use the add function? I've tried it both ways and neither works. I've got to be doing something wrong here but can't figure it out.

louis499,  It will be "read only" until you save it on your computer..

Save it somewhere on your computer and then reopen it and you should
be able to input data..
