MOTION: Include Ticket #471 for 3.4.0 release

Hello, I’ve found an issue that I believe is critical in the
3.4.0 release candidate – long text fields do not show up when using the
ArcSDE provider. I’d like to also add a motion that this be included in
the 3.4.0 release.

FYI, I’m very close to a fix. I’m
currently testing and getting the following error on SE_stream_execute: Underlying DBMS Error: {"ORA-01036: illegal
variable name/number\n (1036)"} My field name is “TEXT”. Can
anyone offer a clue as to what to look for?

Does anybody have any ideas at
all on this? The assignValue command doesn’t even use the variable name/number…

Right… I’ll try changing the field
name, and make a ‘note’ of this somewhere…like on a sticky note on the bottom
of my desk.

sure that TEXT is a reserved word in Oracle. The normal
"fix" for this outside of FDO/SDE is to quote the field name in
whatever convention the underlying RDBMS supports (square brackets,
double quotes, etc). Not sure how you
