I am really missing the summary picture page where I could see who'd come in and gone out easily (and checked every day- I know I'm sad)

Has anyone else missed Ellie's arrival (how sweet), Opal, Rose and Pepper as well as Whiskey lurcher?

On the front page it does state what dogs I have added and it also has a link to the dogs info page (via name)
Ellie, Pepper, Rose and Serena are all mentioned on front page as they are the new dogs in rescue.
I added Whiskey, Opal, Murphy and Toby but did not mention them as new because they were not new dogs in, I just forgot to put them on.

Anyway good news for Ellie, as she is home check pending which is also stated on homeless girls and Ellie's page.

The idea of the new website is to announce changes via a blog style interface, that way changes to the site and new dogs are always immediately available to all

Now you've done some of the blog bit it makes more sense.

Do I sound really sad if I admit that when I get up before 6am on a morning I used to click on the old dog page and see who'd come in and gone out or gone on reserve? I've tried it on the new site but I have to focus to read.... and that's not happening at silly-o'clock.

I'll just have to get my dog fix on an evening instead

Welcome to my club!
Thought I was the only one who did emails first thing on a morning.

I normally do emails (sent the night before) after I have fed everyone, including children around 7.30am.
My son Jay goes up to secondary school in September so he will have to get school bus.  No more walking to school in the morning.YES!!!.  Emails will be sent later.

We're getting up earlier and earlier in this heat- we're sleeping with fans on and curtains open (to allow any breeze in) to try and keep Bob cool. This morning we were all up by 4.20am.

We just met Ellie. How georgous is she? Absolutely. If she wasn't off to her new home tomorrow I think (know) we'd have snuck her back to Darlo.

Good luck little one

Bob had a pawly poor so we took him up for Steve to have a look at it and teach me how to look after his nails (yep. I know I'm pathetic)

The thing that made Ellie even more appealing was that she is tiny....
no more hounds reaching onto the kitchen bench and stealing the steak pies while Jon nipped out to the car that was parked outside the house and eating then in their beds. (Guess who???? Guess who had to have a sandwich for her tea 'cos the hounds ate the pie Jon had got ready for tea??)

your not pathetic i'm the same

Thing is if you got Ellie,Bob would reach up and get the pie down for her, thats what Susie does for Obi so there's no winning for you the dogs always win.

Alfie is in the dog house for pinching half of poppy's birthday cake

He had to pull out a wicker bread basket, take out the cake box and take it to his bed and then open the box to get the cake out and then eating it.....all in 20min as I was walking Rosko, Kish and Jeanie.

He did run away from me when I came back, licking his lips to get rid of evidence si I knew he had pinched something

His Poo (very chocolate colour) has been great for the past 2 days and the wind...Phew!!

Poppy was not a happy chappie when she found all that was left was the cardboard bottom. I had to promise her another  (maybe next year)

 Nice one Alfie.

Poor Poppy. I'm sure you'll have time to make her a fresh cake in the holidays..... not as if you've anything else to do
