Long character attributes in FDO/SDE

Some javascript/style in this post has been disabled (why?)

I am using the FDO / ArcSDE provider and it is not showing class properties for long strings (i.e. 6000 characters).

It is just not included in the list of property definitions. Is this a known issue?
