Is it me or does anyone else think that Libby is overreacting to Jack?  Seriously...2 beers over the course of an hour does not make one 'drunk' or so impaired.  It would've been different if he had been seriously drinking and run off half-cocked.  But even before she learned that he had a couple of drinks she was really pissy with him.  Obviously he loved his brother and he is suffering too.  I think that she would be a little more understanding considering how well she knows him.

She's a teenager and the whole world revolves around her, so being compassionate and understanding are not things she is capable of.  She's angry and grieving and she didn't get to day goodbye to her father, not to mention that she had just miscarried her own baby that she was starting to care about. She's looking for a place to put the blame and Jack is the easiest person to point the finger at. Now that she learned that he had something to drink, she has even more to use against him. While I don't agree with her, I know that I can't expect her to be resonable given the circumstances.

Well, I would think she'd be acting more sad than angry, at this point anyway. Two losses in the span of -- what? -- 48 hours? I'm surprised she has the energy to be mouthing off to Jack right now. And this business about having a beer and being impaired seems quite unreasonable to me. It's not as though Jack had been staggering around the farm before he headed off to the warehouse. He and Janet are always popping the top of a bottle of beer -- I never thought they seem to get even tipsy. And Liberty's seen them both doing that, and never mentioned being terribly concerned about it in the past. I think it's over the top -- more drama to fuel the fires of this particular story line. I do think it would be more realistic for Liberty to want to be spending time with Katie just now. Brad and Katie had always been good to her.

I didn't watch the scene in questions but grieving takes many forms.  Anger is one of those emotions that is easily evoked after one has lost a person they loved.  Sometimes they are mad at the person for leaving them.  In this case, Liberty is mad at her uncle for having killed her father.  Granted it was an accident, but nonetheless he still did it.  She barely got to know him and then he was taken away.  As for spending time with Katie, it could be that she is staying away because seeing her baby brother might be too painful given her own baby loss.  While Katie cares for Liberty, she has always remained more neutral knowing that her place was a her step-mother and that Janet was near by to do the motherly things.

personally i cant stand janet or liberty.    i wish they would both leave oakdale.    liberty is a spoiled unreasonable brat.   i get that shes immature and self centered so she doesnt see other people also suffering but her mother ought to sit her down and straighten her out.   she was ungrateful for the opportunity paul and emily  were offering.   she drank while she was pregnant  so emily was  RIGHT for jumping on her.  and instead of coddling and acting totally desparate to get the baby herself janet should have also jumped on her too.     and as far as janet goes she is pathetic.  she has known all along that jack has never really gotten over carly yet she clings on and complains every time jack gets with in 10 feet of carly.   and brad dies and jack is totally crushed and she throws in his face that he had 2 beers.   i say jack should divorce her even if he doesnt get back with carly
