KingOra 3.4 RC1 Query

Hi,

We have a .net application (MapRelate) currently using FDO 3.3 and I have today created a new project and updated the references to the 3.4 RC1 SDK files.  Basic compile and run-time look fine (on the surface) but KingOra is not reading the Oracle schema I test against in the office.

Is the KingOra in 3.4 a rebuild of 3.3 (KingOra v.74?) or is it based on the new (v0.85?) version that has some known issues with some schema description/discovery?

Just looking at the svn logs, it seems that 0.85 has been developed outside of this svn repository. There does not seem to be any indications that the changes/enhancements in 0.85 were merged back into svn.

Haris would give you a better answer (of course).

Yes, I have worked on 0.8.5 using different code base then the one in
repository ( 0.8.5 is using OCI instead of OCCI Oracle interface).
I haven't submit into FDO trunk yet, mainly because in trunk are changes
done to build on Linux which I don't have in 0.8.5.
I believe that work for Linux build has been done by Greg.

My question goes to Greg If I submit and then again apply changes for
Linux build or I try to check differences. Second option looks like more
work to me, because there would be lot of differences between versions.
So Greg, which way is less work ? :)

I am not really 100% sure of the different options you are proposing. Are you stating there would be issues with the Windows or Linux build if you submitted? As for checking differences between submitted code and code to be submitted, it is up to the submitter to ensure that no previous submissions would be overridden with a submission he/she is making. Usually this can be done by checking revision logs if a line by line diff results in too many line changes to effectively compare.
