I am working with HL7 in Java CAPS 6.2. The hl7ecoder-1.0 library is in teh shared libraries. I installed the HL7 BC using the HL7 BC installer from the open-esb site. Runtime works, that is HL7 v2 delimited gets converted to XML and back, when I ask nicely. I just tried to use the Encoder->Test in NetBeans and got the following error.

How do I get and install teh HL7 Encoder NetBeans plumbing? I can't find the download for that, which corresponds to the HL7 BC download.

Please advise.

Michael,

This was a known issue, and should have been fixed in recent build(s). This was due to the design-time nbms didn't get installed even though runtime works ok.

Let me know if any further questions.

Thanks

Lixin

Thanks, Lixin.

I see this in GlassFish ESB v2.1 GA and Java CAPS 6.2 GA. How do I patch either (preferably JC6.2) or both to get the issue fixed? I am working on a demo for a prospect a week from now.

Regards

Michael

Michael,

There are a couple of nbms for HL7 encoder design-time that you'll need to patch because the HL7 BC component didn't package them before (which has now been fixed in GFESBv2.2 by Jonelle).

Jonelle,

Do you know how to get those nbms for GFESB v2.1 or JCAPS 6.2 GA?

Thanks

Lixin

The GFESB v2.1 individual .nbms were built here.  Am including Karl to confirm as well.

    http://nog.sfbay/kits/mirrors/download.java.net/jbi/binaries/ojc-nbm-dt/soa-dev65/nightly/

GFESBv2.1 was released in June so maybe you can get the missing .nbms from the appropriate folder date?

thanks,
Jonelle

Hello, Jonelle and Lixin.

Thanks for responding,
I downloaded the following NBMs from a link accessiblke through teh OpenESB site, I don't recall exactly how I got there:

org-netbeans-modules-encoder-coco-ui.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-custom-aip.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-hl7-aip.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-ui-basic.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-ui-tester.nbm

Of these all but:
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-coco-ui.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-hl7-aip.nbm

were already installed.

I restarted NetBeans but the issue persisted.

What NBMs am I missing or which ones I should replace?

Thanks in advance

Michael

Hi Michael,

Looking at the checkin log, the 2 added .nbms were:

    org-netbeans-modules-encoder-hl7-aip.nbm
    com-sun-encoder-hl7.nbm

From your list I did not see com-sun-encoder-hl7.nbm?

thanks,
Jonelle

Thanks, Jonelle.

I downloaded sun-encoder-xxx.nbm from http://download.java.net/jbi/binaries/open-esb-full-install/nbm/latest/
I downloaded:
com-sun-encoder-coco.nbm
com-sun-encoder-custom.nbm
com-sun-encoder-hl7.nbm
com-sun-encoder.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-coco-ui.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-custom-aip.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-hl7-aip.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-ui-basic.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-ui-tester.nbm

How do I tell NetBeans to use the versions I downloaded instead of the versions installed already? I don't see any option that allows me to do this.

Thanks for helping out with this

Regards

Michael

GFESBv2.1 was released in June so maybe you can get the missing .nbms from the appropriate folder date?

thanks,
Jonelle

There are a couple of nbms for HL7 encoder design-time that you'll need to patch because the HL7 BC component didn't package them before (which has now been fixed in GFESBv2.2 by Jonelle).

Jonelle,

Do you know how to get those nbms for GFESB v2.1 or JCAPS 6.2 GA?

Thanks

Lixin

Thanks, Lixin.

I see this in GlassFish ESB v2.1 GA and Java CAPS 6.2 GA. How do I patch either (preferably JC6.2) or both to get the issue fixed? I am working on a demo for a prospect a week from now.

This was a known issue, and should have been fixed in recent build(s). This was due to the design-time nbms didn't get installed even though runtime works ok.

Let me know if any further questions.

Michael

Some javascript/style in this post has been disabled (why?)

Michael,

You may uninstall the nbm(s) and reinstall them. But in your case, you just get the missing ones instead of overwriting existing ones, right?

Subject: Re: JCC6,2 encoding style 'hl7encoder-1.0' is not recognized ...' - how do I get the HL7 Encoder into NetBeans?

Thanks, Jonelle.

I downloaded sun-encoder-xxx.nbm from http://download.java.net/jbi/binaries/open-esb-full-install/nbm/latest/
I downloaded:
com-sun-encoder-coco.nbm
com-sun-encoder-custom.nbm
com-sun-encoder-hl7.nbm
com-sun-encoder.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-coco-ui.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-custom-aip.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-hl7-aip.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-ui-basic.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-ui-tester.nbm

How do I tell NetBeans to use the versions I downloaded instead of the versions installed already? I don't see any option that allows me to do this.

Thanks for helping out with this

Regards

Michael

Hello, Jonelle and Lixin.

Thanks for responding,
I downloaded the following NBMs from a link accessiblke through teh OpenESB site, I don't recall exactly how I got there:

org-netbeans-modules-encoder-coco-ui.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-custom-aip.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-hl7-aip.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-ui-basic.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-ui-tester.nbm

Of these all but:
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-coco-ui.nbm
org-netbeans-modules-encoder-hl7-aip.nbm

were already installed.

I restarted NetBeans but the issue persisted.

What NBMs am I missing or which ones I should replace?

Thanks in advance

Michael
