Hi all, been away for a few days to lake Windermere, it was soo lovely could live there. We went on a boat tripe to Amble side, it's a lovely little place.
Joo i can not believe it's August too. Going to one Joshua's 7th birthday party latter on it's not his birthday until tomorrow thank goodness as he is getting a electric  guitar

Cor blimey, I cant believe its August already.
I had a bit of not very nice news yesterday, I had to go to the Dr's again about my knee, he said it was a combination of my knee and my hip, he said I will have to have a hip and a knee replacement, but the horrid thing about it he said I was too heavy, they wouldn't consider me until I have lost loads of weight, I have put 3 stone on since I finished work, so please can you all give me some encouragement, its bad enough admitting to being so overweight.

now i am having to go to weight watchers next week as i too have piled the weight on and a bit depressed about it.i have always been 34b bra and now i am 36dd.so i have got to do something about it now.
so maybe we could compare weight  loss and ideas? have had a really bad week the pain in my shoulder is really bad now and i am so fed up with it i am sure it is something more than just a shoulder impingment.
i felt a bit panicky today because i felt asthough i was comming down withy the flu and i was looking after isabella and worried because she has asthma.

Hi all, long time no speak!!

Its lovely here at camping corner, I'm sat in the tent in the rain in yorkshire. It has been lovely and sunny today in Whitby, we got back to the tent and it has rained nonstop since. Having a great time though even if I am completely knackered getting up at the crack of dawn. We will be going home at the weekend but will be back up here next year. We are considering buying a caravan for next year as we are finding it increasingly hard to put up the tent as I am as much use at times as a chocolate fireguard!!

Hope all is well with you all. I will try to catch up with the gossip when I return. My hands are much better lately touch wood so I am able to type this message.

Off to the pickering steam fair tomorrow if the weather is nice.

Hi folks,

Have been with some of my fibro friends from the South Glos group today - they meet up once a month and make craft projects to sell at events to raise money for their group and FMAUK. They are SO clever too, especially with needlework, knitting and cards in particular but as with most crafty folk, they can do just about everything!! I covered a couple of books with lovely papers and bought a pair of knitted fingerless gloves which was a bit cheeky really as they wanted to build up stock! They're lovely tho.

Hi Nikki, having fun then? Hope the rain stays away for the rest of your holiday. Maybe you'll have to think about getting a camper van like me and Graham - they're great and ready to go anytime!!

Hey Wendy, how did your day go? Hope it was successful - sorry I couldn't make it.

Who was it that was having an eye op this week? Was it Olive? Hope whoever it is/was is feeling okay now.

Can't remember where I was now  absolutely knackered for some reason today. Went down to Burham on Sea this morning with Si and one of me bruvs and they went off for a long walk while I stayed with the van parked on the front with my drawing stuff and camera. Spent ages sorting out my kit and getting down on the beach and finding a shady spot and then got nothing done as a couple came up chatting to me and time just flew!!  Missed opportunity but never mind. There were loads of people about as the weather was fabulous.

Hope you were all able to enjoy your sunday too

By the way, anyone heard from Rita lately?

All I have done today is the washing and packing away camping gear , So no sun for me today.

Wendy sorry to read you have to have knee and hip replaced. My Left hip is on its way out I have had the tens on it all week.
I stayed near Wimbourne is that near you ?   I would of liked to met up too.

Do you know I am not safe out on my own , when we were away I went on my scooter, to the camp shop to buy a mag. I picked it up from the shelf, droped it on the floor picked it up and then dropped it again !!! a nice lady got it for me and as she handed it to me I droped my camera out of my bag ( now it doesn't work GRRR ) she picked that up too. Then I couldn't find my purse so I put the mag back and went back to my scooter and there was my purse on the floor beside it so I went back and bought the mag. lol

Wendy sorry to hear about your opp your doing ok but like someone said you stopped smoking so you can loose weight so go for it
i think its harder to loose waight than stopping smoking all those goodies tempting you but thats me im greedy

Been to support group today I always enjoy that , talking to people that really understand and having a laugh.

Do you know Gill you are right I found it harder to stop smoking than lose weight.

OOhhh Wendy, just catching up and read that you need to have your knee and hip done. Hope it is not giving you too much jip and that they don't keep you on the waiting list for long.

Just had a really crap time since coming back form hols on saturday. Came back with a sore throat which had passed round three of us. On monday night OH had to call an ambulance for me as I couldn't breathe. My throat had swelled and I was breathing really noisy. I was rushed to hospital on blue lights and they diagnosed laryngitis and a problem with my vocal cords. Just got out today and throat is still bad. Sent home with steroids and antibiotics and hopefully that will do the trick. Had to have three scopes down my throat while I was there which wasn't pleasant. still one good thing everyone is having a quiet life in this house as i can't speak!!!

Joy, isn't camping great but I hate the aftermath with all the washing!! I have left my trailer, the camping gear and the tent at the campsite over the winter as the owner stores it for me free of charge. I just have to remember what i have left there which with the old fibrofog can be challenging at times.
