Issues with font rendering in tkgrass

Hi all,

As I finished translating grasstcl to portuguese, I compiled and fired
GRASS to see thee looks of it (the translation).

The issue is with some accented characters that are far too common in
portuguese to let them pass by. I means specificaly ã, õ ('a' or 'o'
with a tilde) and also ê ('e' with a circumflex accent).

Those were those I found in my quick look.

Also, I have another 'complain' - in the GRASS initialization screen,
the sentence is wrapping badly. I would change the wording if I could
figure a better one. Maximizing screen has no efect on the wrap.

About the ã and õ, I once heard it's an UBUNTU problem with freetype
fonts, not sure if that's the case.

As for the translations, I have to disagree with some of the
sentences. For instance, the screen is not asking for the user to
select a projection ("projeção") but a PROJECT ("projeto") so I would
translate it to:

"Selecione a locação e o mapset de um projeto existente ou defina uma
nova locação"

On the bottom right box where GRASS says Project location
(projection/coordinate system) you also mixed Project with Projection.

Could be, could be not. As I stated, I'm using CentOS.
I am not much concerned. Although it is clearly wrongly rendered, it
is not unrecognizable.

While I don't recall exactly on which file that message was defined, I
never translated project for 'projeção'. If I used 'projeção' the
original word was most certainly 'projection'.

That is one of the drawbacks of having just one translator -
translating is a so time consuming job, that no energy is left for
reviews.

Oops, my bad, don't know why I though you were running Ubuntu...

As for the project, projection thing, if you want I can take a look at
the tcl_pt.po files and do a quick review. Did the diffs I sent you
worked?
