Is the topic patch of S&D can be a real patch for ATContentTypes ?

Hi,

I have just submit a patch to ATContentTypes about query catalog;

I have lost hours before discovering that dancing is monkeypatching this
method too:
http://svn.plone.org/svn/collective/collective.dancing/trunk/collective/dancing/patch/topic.py

I would like to know/discuss if this can be a patch to ATContentType or
If we need to modify dancing to do not rely on ATTopic but inherits from it.
