I am under the assumption that most of you have already read or heard about this, I don't know how to transfer info from one site to another. If not, it is on the postalworkersonline website.
Anyhow, she was driving a 1996 Jeep RHD. The tractor driver was attempting a left turn and she struck the loader, or the loader struck her.
The one big drawback to a RHD is the fact you really can't see past what you are trying to pass. I have owned 2 different 1/4 tons, and have driven LLV's. I do now own a 94 Jeep true RHD, used it once on the route to see how it would work with some of my boxes. All OK, but my Corolla wagon runs cheaper, so won't be using the Jeep until winter with the bad roads and higher volume.
Of course the tractor driver claims to had his turn signal on. Sheriff determined no one at fault, I wonder if USPS determined same, or whether they will try to wiggle their way out of paying for an on the job death.
They preach safety all the time, but want to know why we don't make evaluation. Seems to me they can't have it both ways, either give us the time to do our route safely or shut up about running over evaluation. DOUG
