Some javascript/style in this post has been disabled (why?)
I have a HSR instance that was "heck" getting up and running after an upgrade.  I did not use buildout to build it, due to some lib and python version issues.  I now want to install a plone 3 style product (adsense) and I don't have setuptools installed.  Is there any danger of installing it? does anyone know what else I may need to install after that?
thanks in advance.

Get the tag of desired version with your SVN client if you can't dance
with buildout/eggs. Otherwise the classical .tar.gz for this portlet
is available from the cheeseshop.

I can't understand your "Python version issue". It's fairly easy to
have different versions of Python with their respective run time
environment on the same platform. Either on *nix or Windows systems.
Otherwise, you could have a try to "virtualenv" to avoid package
conflicts.

Many Thanks Gilles... I did get that python issue straightened out though.
At the time I could not get buildout to work w/ plone 3.1.2.  I am passed
that, and appreciate the SVN alternative.

Thanks again.
