| Have customers had success using audacity with Inport from Xitel?
Yes some Audacity users have successfully recorded from Inport - please see:

tab of the Audacity Preferences, and set the "Playback Device" to your inbuilt
sound device. Inport may well set itself when first connected to the computer
as the system sound device. In this case if you want to hear sound in
applications other than Audacity while it's so connected, you may have to
reset the Windows system playback device to your inbuilt sound as described
here:
