Just been playing around with describe schema as xml, it's
quite a complex experience when I compare it to approaches
used in other data access layers / databases.
Having system tables which can be queried, along the lines of oracle tables,
ie "USER_TABLES and USER_TAB_COLUMNS" is a lot simpler to work with
essentially the information returned is pretty flat and simple rather than
the complex structure exposed via the xml
thoughts?
