IE8 can not close shadowbox

I am using you shadow box (great script) to display a web page in the window.
When using IE 8 for some reason when you click on the close X the shadowbox does not close.
Any ideas why this maybe ?
Works fine with IE 7 and FF.

I have another problem with IE 8, shadowbox makes black frame.. but picture doesnt load..

I am having somewhat of a similar problem, but I can't get it to load at all in IE7. Shadowbox loads fine in Firefox, Opera, and Chrome for me.

I have similar problem, the aplication launch but whe it the close button nothing happen an to close i must it the refresh button of my browser.

Same problem, though it seems to be isolated to closing FLV files, not image files.

@Claudio. Check the list of players you have enabled, when loading another web page you need the iframe player, the html player is only for showing inline content that's already on the page.

I haven't checked in IE8 but I am having this problem in Firefox 3 and Safari but not in IE7.

I am using iframe player to show various pages in shadowbox. So player type is iframe. When page fits vertically within the shadowbox i.e. no vertical scrollbar appears then close works fine but when page is longer in length and a vertical bar appears, close doesn't work.

Is there any workaround to solve this issue?

You'll probably have to post a sample page since the examples on the Shadowbox homepage that use the iframe player don't display the same issue in the browsers you mention (at least not for me, probably worth checking for yourself first).

Opera and FF works OK, but in IE8 when I try to close opened shadowbox black square remains.

Conclusion:
"Closing shadowbox in IE8" error may be produced by other party js scripts which conflicts with shadowbox ones.

Yes im getting the same problem in ie8. the box will not close, it seems to work sometimes and sometimes not.. but always closes on a page with no other scripts. so my conclusion is the same its conflicting with another script.. in this case spry accordion. the only option is to remove one or the other.

I also have a severe error in safari when you try to close the box, it freezes the whole page and the only way to close it is to restart the computer.. any idea what thats about??

right now i am loading images and FLV files into shadowbox (loading fine), but the FLVs close and next buttons dont respond when i click. so ime having a problem closing the FLV shadowbox, on the other hand, when i load an image. the close and next/prev buttons do work !!

any ideas?
